ORE II: Decarbonizing Global Supply Chains by OneTrueValue

Thursday, Apr 17, 2025 from 05:00 PM – 05:15 PM

About This Presentation

As Bangladesh’s garment sector continues to drive economic growth—contributing over 11% to GDP and employing 4 million people—it also faces the urgent challenge of decarbonization, with 15% of the country’s GHG emissions linked to the industry. This session will explore how the ORE II Fund, initiated by OneTrueValue, is catalyzing Bangladesh’s clean energy transition through strategic investments in local Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Innovative financing mechanisms to scale rooftop solar solutions in garment factories

  • The projected impact of 200 MW installed capacity and 250,000 tons of annual CO₂ reduction by 2030

  • How factories can reduce energy costs by 20% through sustainable sourcing of energy

This session will demonstrate how blended finance, impact investment, and public-private collaboration can reshape industrial energy use in one of the world’s largest manufacturing hubs.
